Published 22 Apr 2022 · Updated 16 Feb 2024
Affected package
smarty/smartyComposer
- Affected
- <3.0.7
- Fixed in
- 3.0.7
Update to the fixed version for your release line, for example:

The $smarty.template variable in Smarty3 allows attackers to possibly execute arbitrary PHP code via the sysplugins/smarty_internal_compile_private_special_variable.php file.
Is GHSA-6frx-2r5w-c524 in any of your client repos?
Checking one package by hand is fine. Checking it across forty client projects is not. NPMscan reads the lockfiles in every GitHub repo you pick, finds each project with an affected smarty/smarty, and gives you the command that fixes it.
