Quadratic blowup in Convert::xml2array()
Published 29 Jun 2022 · Updated 16 Feb 2024
Affected package
silverstripe/frameworkComposer
- Affected
- >=4.0.0 <4.10.9
- Fixed in
- 4.10.9
Update to the fixed version for your release line, for example:
composer require silverstripe/framework:^4.10.9Details
Silverstripe silverstripe/framework 4.x until 4.10.9 has a quadratic blowup in Convert::xml2array() that enables a remote attack via a crafted XML document.
Is GHSA-9fmg-89fx-r33w in any of your client repos?
Checking one package by hand is fine. Checking it across forty client projects is not. NPMscan reads the lockfiles in every GitHub repo you pick, finds each project with an affected silverstripe/framework, and gives you the command that fixes it.
