HighGHSA-xw83-pwrm-9j74CVE-2015-7809
Twig remote code execution in templates
Published 14 May 2022 · Updated 30 May 2024
Affected package
twig/twigComposer
- Affected
- <1.20.0
- Fixed in
- 1.20.0
Update to the fixed version for your release line, for example:
composer require twig/twig:^1.20.0Details
The displayBlock function Template.php in Sensio Labs Twig before 1.20.0, when Sandbox mode is enabled, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via the _self variable in a template.
Is GHSA-xw83-pwrm-9j74 in any of your client repos?
Checking one package by hand is fine. Checking it across forty client projects is not. NPMscan reads the lockfiles in every GitHub repo you pick, finds each project with an affected twig/twig, and gives you the command that fixes it.
